Dr. K. Krebs, Ph.D, V.M.D.

Dr. Krebs graduated summa cum laud in 1997 from The School of Veterinary Medicine, University of Pennsylvania. He completed an internship in medicine and surgery at Veterinary Referral Associates in Gaithersburg Md., and was the Medical Director of two VCA animal hospitals for 6 years before joining the staff of Glen Burnie Animal Hospital
Prior to becoming a veterinarian, Dr. Krebs was a scientist at the Hershey Medical Center, and the Laboratory of Biophysics at the National Institutes of Health. His areas of research included atherosclerosis, the red blood cell membrane, and neuroscience. He holds a B.S. in Biology from Ursinus College, a M.S in Biochemistry from Drexel University, and a Ph.D. Biochemistry from the Medical College of Pennsylvania. He is the author of more than 30 scientific papers, book chapters and abstracts.
Dr. Krebs and his wife Melissa have adopted 6 children from Russia, and lives on an 18th century farm with their horses, dogs, cats and birds.
Dr. H. A. Pooya, DVM, LLC

Dr. Pooya is a Orthopedic & Soft Tissue Mobile Surgery and is now available to perform orthopedic and soft tissue surgical case consultations, diagnostics, and surgeries, as well as postoperative care & long-term management of patients.
Dr. Pooya recently returned to MD, where he was born & raised, after 16 years of education & training across the nation, including nearly six years of
post-doctorate specialty surgical training. In addition to performing surgery, his training also involved the process of seeing surgical appointments, doing surgical consultations for other veterinarians, and scheduling follow-up visits postoperatively to help ensure the desired surgical outcome and optimal benefits for your pet.
Having graduated from the Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine as a member of Phi Zeta (the National Veterinary Honor Society) in 1999, he then completed a small animal internship at Cornell University's Hospital for Animals and a one-year surgical internship at Affiliated Veterinary Specialists in Jacksonville, FL. He has authored numerous publications in various veterinary journals, many of which have been presented at international surgical conferences. The bulk of this work stemmed from the orthopedic fellowship he completed at the J.D. Wheat Veterinary Orthopedic Laboratory at U.C. Davis in CA. Dr. Pooya obtained his ACVS-approved surgical residency training at both U.C. Davis and a large specialty referral practice in nearby San Leandro, CA.
